Dr. VishnupriyaYadlapalli did her Master of Arts (M.A.) with specialization of Industrial Economics and Master of Laws (LL.M.) with specialization of Labour Laws. She cleared UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) in 1993. She conducted empirical research for her Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) on the topic, Child Labour: A Socio-Legal Study with reference to Slate Mines of Markapur in Andhra Pradesh, India where incidence of child labour is severe. She also did a Post-Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations, Personnel Management and Labour Welfare.  She has been teaching Labour and Employment  Law, Family Law, Law of Contracts, Gender justice, Child &Law and Human Rights to LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. students since June 1989. National and International Ph.D. Scholars are doing research under her guidance. So far four scholars were awarded Ph.D. under her research guidance.

Presently, she is a Professor of Law and Dean, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Educational Institutions, Hyderabad andChairperson, Board of Studies in Law, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda. She worked as Professor and Dean Faculty of Law, Chairperson Board of Studies in Law and Head Department of Law, Osmania University Hyderabad.

She published 40 articles in standard legal journals and books with ISSN and ISBN including  a book on Protection of Human Rights in Developing Countries. She participated, presented papers and organized 65 National and International Seminars/Conferences & workshops.  She presented a paper in 16th IVR World Congress on ‘Law, Justice and State’ which was held at Reykjavik, Iceland and Women’s Worlds Congress at Hyderabad Central University in August 2014. She submitted Indian report in IACL World Congress organized by International Academy of Comparative Law (IACL) at Vienna in July 2014. She edited a book entitled Reproductive Health and Surrogacy in India: Law, Policy and Practice with ISBN No: 978-93-89286-61-8 in 2020.

She was the coordinator of the UGC-SAP-DRS-Programme on Health Laws: Socio-Legal aspects of Surrogacy in India including issues related to Human Rights.

She is a Member of Faculty Committee, Department of Legal Studies, Bangalore University, Bangalore, Academic Council, Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai and Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad and Academic Audit committee, Damodaram Sanjeevaiah National Law University, Visakhapatnam.

She is a member of Board of Studies in Law of many Universities, Board of Examiners and selection committee of various Universities, UPSC and State Public Service Commissions. She delivered invited lectures in various Universities and Institutions. She was the Chief Regional Coordinator of Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET & PGLCET) from 2013 to 2018 for Hyderabad Region.

 She is an Editorial board member of legal journals such as Indian Socio-legal Journal, Jaipur, Justicia, University college of Law, O.U. Hyderabad.  She is a Life member of Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, Indian Institute of Comparative Law, Jaipur. She is a member of International Women’s Peace Group (IPWG), South Korea.  She is s a member of Internal Complaints Committee of Sexual Harassment Against Women (ICCSHAW) of Hyderabad Central University (HCU), Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad and University college of Law, O.U. Hyderabad. She is associated with many NGO’s working for Human Rights. Her areas of interest are Family Law, Labour and Employment Law, Gender justice and Child and law.
