Dr. B. R. Ambedkar College (UG & PG) was established in 1973 and was admitted into grant-in – aided by govt in the year 1977, the institution presently educates 1200 students to pursue courses such as B. Com (General), B.Com (Computers), B.Sc. (MPC), B.Sc(MPCs), B.Sc ( Electronics ), BBA, B.A ( Mass Coomunication and Journalism) and BA in both English and Telugu mediums and M.Com, M.Sc ( Physics ) and M.Sc ( Organic Chemistry). The college currently functions under the aegis of Principal Dr. Shekar Matta, who has an 18-yearlong experience in setting academic standards. Around 80 staff members of staff in both Teaching and Non-Teaching capacities support the students.
